External Power Supply for Power Mac G5

Anybody done an external for a Power Mac G5 tower, instead of a Mac Mini?

Don't think so, as the G5 power supply requirements are quite a bit more complicated than the Mini.

 

OTOH, none of the circuits in the G5 will actually benefit from a linear PS (in my opinion).

 

You're already on the right track with Alan Maher gear.

 

There's also another cheap box I use (as does my AC Guru) for "increasing the attenuation of power garbage between 100 and 500 KHz".

... and of course, using something like the less expensive PS Audio devices like Duet (ask Barrows).

 

I use an Audience AR1P, that I bought used, instead of PS Audio.

It's possible. Had it quoted and given the various voltage requirements, and number of components and large case required, I was quoted between $2k-$3k for a Bolder unit, which was above my pain threshold for a power experiment
