I cannot decide is it needed to set up amarra junior if i listen to my itunes ALAC library via mini-toslink output connected to outside hi-fi DAC? Will be the difference in sound quality with amarra and without it? Thanks for your respond. Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
Hi belkoff - Unfortunately only you can answer this question correctly. See if you can download the trial version. I'd love to hear your opinion once you've listened to the product (good or bad). Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

Hey belkoff, Of all the ways that AES/EBU digital audio can be moved from one device to another, TOSlink is the weakest. Due to the high internal optical loss in the plastic optical fibre used in most TOSlink interconnects, this connection type results in relatively high jitter when compared to an equivalent unbalanced (RCA) electrical connection. So, if possible, you might try an alternative connection to your Denon. Regards, ______________________________________________ O.A.
