Popular Post RP993
Hello to everyone! My name is Arpad and this is my first post here in CA forum. I'm a happy owner of a 2.16 since last November. My streamer has 3 oxco clocks: processor, mobo and I2S bridge to feed my denafrips terminator. When I bought my server it was delivered with hqplayer, but I prefer pcm/NOS. As the new version of roon was introduced, Jord suggested to skip hqplayer and use roon's own software, which provides a more natural, analog like sound. Before the purchase of the PF 2.16 I used to stream music from my NAS, but now I have a second SSD - beside the OS SSD - for the files inside the streamer, so it's a standalone digital source for the dac. Of course I stream tidal, but it's another issue. My streamer has a second OS SSD as well for HTPC use incl passive cooled 4K HDMI graphic card. Kodi running under Linux and offering a picture quality, just like my Primare BD32 mk2 did, before I sold it. lpost and WMW 1 1 Link to comment
RP993
David, Sorry if I did not understood your question well, but using a device like ultrarendu is completely useless if you own a PF 2.16: It has a LAN port, so music streaming through lan and i2s output is a standard feature (if you have ordered the i2s Bridge). You don't need any other hardware. I would suggest to order / upgrade the streamer with a data ssd for music files. In this case you serve music locally and direct to your Dac, therefore you can save AudioPhile network goodies like oxco switch, LPSU, fiber net, etc. Not to mention better SQ Link to comment

I think the net weight is about 30 kgs. The wood cradle is another 10-12 for sure. So, if you had missed the gym for a while, ask your buddy to help you with unpacking and positioning ?
