New member. My system.

Hello everybody.

 

I am new to this forum and finding it very useful to have a computer-specific forum, as I can't get all the info I require on "normal" ones

 

I started in HiFi probably ten years ago, my first "separate" being a Sony minidisc deck. I got into the hobby and upgraded steadily for years.

 

I got to a point where I realised that the system (Plinius/Dynaudio) was pricey but not truely fantastic. At about the same time I was intrigued by streaming audio, and to cut a long story short, ended up with AVI ADM9. They costed a fraction of the old stuff and sounded better and are more convenient. I sold the old amps and went off to Australia for a bit!

 

I've become a bit of a geek with all of this and am gradually trawling through streaming sources. I have used Squeezebox Duet, Airport Express, Sonos, PS3, and more all at home. We have an iMac here to try ASAP, and I expect to cave in to buying an Apple TV in future too.

 

My system is basically what you see attached below. That's it! An entire HiFi, and hundreds of albums in your hand.

 

I've been so impressed with how much better streaming is that I've made instructional vids on YouTube to show how it works too.
