Excellent post, my own sentiments echo this rather exactly. I've got nothing at all against the audiophile magazines, in fact I've very much enjoyed reading them for decades now. It was never unclear to me what they are, or how they run their business. However their current pro-MQA stance and repeated doubling down on this anti-consumer "technology" that is of questionable (at best) efficacy with regard to actual sound quality is simply indefensible. No, this is not in any way an attack on Andrew Quint, and I agree his post is both well worded and well intended while making some solid points. But that can't erase the ugly reality of MQA exposed, nor the audio press' misguided and unwavering support of it.
