The Bricasti M1 SE is a Stereophile A+ recommended component and is widely considered one of the best DACs available, at any price. 

 

I'm the original owner. It's well cared for and, prior to listing it,  I had it recertified as in optimal condition by Bricasti.  I'm listing this so inexpensively because I'm impatient, I don't like to wait for the best price, I just want to move on. My impatience is your benefit.  This is an incredible deal. An M1 SE sold for $6K on CA last October. 

 

The reason it's for sale is that I have a problem.  I can't keep from buying new equipment. I'm purchasing the Chord DAVE/BLU MKII combo. While DAVE and the M1 are close DAC peers, the M1 doesn't integrate with the BLU MK II like DAVE does.

 

The unit sounds fantastic and It remains at the top of the list of standalone DACs.

It has the original box, manual, and all shipping and packing materials. There is a tiny scratch on the back of the unit from an errant power cable (nearly broke my heart.) see the 5th photo below. Also, if you angle the remote in certain light there's a blemish. However, I couldn't get it to show up in the photo. I've done my best to give you a close-up honest representation of the unit.
