Innuos Zenith SE MkII

I listened to the SE at High End Munich 2017 and was disappointed. I think the SE has some strong competitors like the latest Antipodes DX.

Yes, the sound was completely uninspiring and left me emotionally uninvolved.

I think the price difference between the standard and the SE is too steep. As you said the SE will be bettered in a few years. Another point is that the SE is an upgrade only, not a complete new design.

According to UK pricelist DX is 7k and SE 5k.

AFAIK, Roy listens from the Dave output directly into speakers in a nearfield position.

Custom HiFi cables in UK made the conversion from standard to SE:

The prices on their HP for similar conversions are much less than what Innuos is charging for the difference between standard and SE..

It is a pity that neither Innuos nor CHC publish specs for the PS in the standard or SE.

I can imagine that even in the SE the PS is inferior to a PH SR7.

Yes, I would buy the standard Zenith and if not satisfied would bring it to CHC later on for modification.
