Otherwise the DAC will be severely handicapped! Even the exaSound needs a good USB cable to shine (for me it was the AQ Diamond), a high quality linear power supply, some decoupling footers and a galvanic isolator/reclocker such as the UpTone ISORegen... so that it may stretch its wings accordingly... and sing at its full potential which is very high!
