HDMI issue

Hi Phil. I am running AO in minimal core mode for Roon operation on my i7 server running W2012R2. The same server also runs JRiver Media Center 22. 

 

I'd like to play multichannel files off my server, first via JRiver, using HDMI as my output. I have a Marantz AV-7702 pre/pro. I've connected it to my server via HDMI. I have video but JRiver does not see the Intel Display Audio endpoint for output from JRiver. Kal Rubinson, with whom I'm corresponding over at the Roon forum, reports that he sees that Intel endpoint in JRiver connected to his Marantz AV-8802A pre/pro.

 

So this leads me to the question of whether AO has any manual adjustment required to use the HDMI port on the server for audio. 

 

I will note that neither Kal nor I can get audio out of Roon when we HDMI connect our servers to our respective Marantz pre/pros. That is, of course, a matter that we are taking up with the Roon team given that Kal has the same problem and he's not using AO.

HDMI Audio working just fine with AO, there must be another reason for this behavior.
