kennyb123
I Is It true that It can take days to index all of my music? JRiver tells me I have 95822 files (or about 5TB worth of music). What should I expect? There are two different processes as I see it: scan and then analysis. Scan adds to your library. It moves fairly quickly so you can start enjoying music right away. Analysis takes some time but I think it only matters if you want to apply volume normalization and see the dynamics measurement they come up with. JRiver has a similar feature where during import you can elect to have JRiver do detailed analysis. I'm just speculating here, but I do recall that during the several days it took to analyze my library, I was never once impeded in my ability to listen to music.
