MQA is Vaporware

Recommended Posts

I didn't check, but are those the same ones highresaudio.com is selling as downloads with 2€ extra price per album compared to the non-MQA hires? It would be of course easy for Tidal to add those albums that already existed in MQA.

I've been buying bunch of albums from there in both MQA and original non-MQA hires for technical comparison purposes.

Will you be publishing something to show if the MQA thing is good or not?

One of the more interesting announcements at CES came from Rhapsody/Napster and Pandora - they will both stream hi-res content this year. Part 2 of that news is they will not be using MQA.

Good.

  • 4 years later...

I'm so tired of MQA being able to have the power to play and not be able to force Roon to not play any MQA tracks.  I'd have no issue with Qobuz but I do find that Tidal has a better selection for some of the obscure things I tend to like.
