Melvin
The Monkees, 'Good Times!': Album Review Link to comment
firedog
It's available on Tidal. Listened to it. Sounds like most Monkees' songs: well done, but totally forgettable pop music. Fairly impressive that they managed to put out an album that sort of sounds "the same" after 50 years. But can't imagine listening to it a second time. Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protectors +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Protection>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three BXT (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three BXT Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup. Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare. All absolute statements about audio are false Link to comment

I just had to wonder why they bothered. Link to comment

Some from this generation might get to know and even dig them. But I agree... too pop and not enough psychedelic/progressive to my liking either.
