sandyk
I recently received a newsletter from Linn with the attached. Given the pedigree of her mother,it should be a very worth while purchase. SandyK "Highwire" by Dawn Langstroth is out now on Studio Master Dawn Langstroth was always destined for a career in music being the daughter of legendary Canadian songstress Anne Murray. "Highwire" is Dawn's debut album and is highly personal with nine of the twelve songs co-written by Dawn, who says. "I was surprised that song-writing seemed like such a natural thing for me to do". Dawn's fellow song-writers on the album is a veritable who's who, with tracks co-written with Ron Sexsmith, Christopher Ward, Matthew Gerrard, Christopher Ward, David Martin, Amanda Stott, Jon Randall Stewart, Sally Barris, Geoff Gibbons and Anthony Vanderburgh. Adding to the talent here is Grammy Award-winner George Massenburg and Jon Randall Stewart who produced "Highwire" in Nashville and Toronto. Dawn's voice has won her some highly respected fans including singer Jennifer Warnes who described Dawn as "shockingly gifted" and Juno Award-winner Jann Arden who commented "every time I hear her sing I am quite simply stunned". Click here to buy "Highwire" on Studio Master download. P.S. I am now downloading this album at 180KB/S. WOW ! That is a huge improvement on previous Linn downloads. ted_b
And given the pedigree of her mother I was initially not touching this with a ten foot pole (sorry, just not an Anne Murray fan). But the samples sound pretty good. Enjoy! "We're all bozos on this bus"....F.T. john_h88
There is a YouTube video of one of the songs being recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. Do not have the link but search under her name. Sounds fantastic even on YouTube. My favourite track is "Enough for 2" SandyK P.S. YMMV. How a Digital Audio file sounds, or a Digital Video file looks, is governed to a large extent by the Power Supply area.
