Miska Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I wanted to show how introducing MQA is not fair for those who can't use DXD and maybe don't know anything about it, but as someone says "MQA is better than anything" they want to listen this out and got somewhat wrong picture... Yes, that's certainly a good thing and you've gathered some good information! I didn't pay attention to what they used for conversion, actually overlook from my side not to pay attention to that detail. I don't believe that Merging don't have a option for 16/44 output mode. I think Pyramix should have that option since it is commonly used for mastering purposes. At least I would be very surprised if it doesn't. I wonder what application they actually use that uses ffmpeg/libav for the conversion. At least Pyramix is also included in the rate conversion comparison too.
