Paul Pang REGEN-USB Cable, new

Recommended Posts

Yes, I know this Paul Pang REGEN-USB connector cable is both new on the market, and brand new to me.

Perfect for those who have an USB port that doesn't allow the solid adaptor.

Let my buying too much become your nice discount.

Price = $71 with shipping included in the CONUS (if you cover the PayPal fee)

Consider this: If you bought it direct from Highend-AudioPC, that would cost you $79 today and would take nearly a couple of weeks coming to the US from Taiwan.

But buy it from me, you'll save a few dollars and get it in a few days.

For more about this special USB-A to USB-B cable, two links:

Price increase to $99 coming soon: Computer Audiophile Thread

Dave, who notes that this USB cable is 180mm long and is designed to replace the REGEN's hard connector with a short cable that is supposed to more accurately convey the sound-data

This is the exact one I'm selling, photographed on our dining table:

I am surprised no response.

Does that mean no one wants this?

Otherwise...

  • It's entirely new, never used
  • It will get to you -- in the U.S. -- much faster
  • It costs about $10 less (since the original seller adds PayPal fees to the buyer's charge)

You've only owned it for a few days, why are you selling it already?

Still haven't heard anyone tell us how it SOUNDS compared to the solid connector.

Main listening (small home office):

Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments.

Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three BXT

Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup.
Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare.

All absolute statements about audio are false :)

Fair question.

Why am I selling it?

Well, the way the connectors are set up, I would have to twist the cable -- or turn either the Regen or my USB-SPDIF converter upside down -- to connect it.

While that solution would work fine, in audio terms, my very particular nature -- call it fussy -- prefers not to do that.

So, for someone far less detail-oriented than I can be, this seems like a very fair deal.
