Play streaming Apple Music tracks through alternate (non-iTunes) player?

Can this be done?

 

Audirvana 2+ has a "releasing playback" (back to iTunes) function when switching to stream tracks directly from Apple Music.

 

Any non-iTunes players out there that will allow streaming Apple Music tracks to play directly?

No. DRM.

 

However, you can capture the audio (probably illegally) and then play it back through your alternate player of choice.

iTunes/A+ do the same thing when streaming Internet radio stations. I go back and forth between streaming radio and playing from the HD a lot, and never a problem. A+ just gracefully bows out
