mkrzych
Hello, I've just found the new Gary Peacock Trio album here to listen: https://www.highresaudio.com/artist.php?abid=391846 Quite like it, it's contemporary jazz, but very "eatable" and quite contemplative for longer listening. Of course nicely recorded in 24/96 resolution, but slightly boring in my feeling with lack of one or two sparks to it, but maybe deeper in the album there is what I expect, can only preview 1m of each song. Anyone had a chance to listen already to it, what are your opinions? -- Krzysztof Maj http://mkrzych.wordpress.com/ "Music is the highest form of art. It is also the most noble. mkrzych
I had a chance to listen to the whole album in redbook quality. DR level is around 13 average, so quite good. Musically the album has such astral, contemplating feeling. You need to listen the whole to judge from start to the end, what I did actually. Well recorded, smooth music with nice Marc Copland and Gary interplay and good drumming from Joey. I think I like it, but could be more sparky, but again then it would be different album. Overall I think 4 stars out of 5 in my opinion. I think is now available also in the US, so what are your feelings about it? -- Krzysztof Maj http://mkrzych.wordpress.com/ "Music is the highest form of art. It is also the most noble. mkrzych
One song in 24/96 resolution graph. I didn't have time to compare it to redbook, but since there is musical content above the 22kHz I guess should sound slightly better. True 24/96 files with some noise starting around 28kHz - wondering what it is? -- Krzysztof Maj http://mkrzych.wordpress.com/ "Music is the highest form of art. It is also the most noble.
