jaaptina
I have the Aries Mini for a few months now. It's powered with SBooster psu and I'm using the onboard dac of my Job INTegrated amp. Sounds very good. It's a real big difference compared to my former Pioneer N-30 streamer. But knowing how much difference a streamer makes I'm wondering if the microRendu would sound even better... jaaptina
I think the Aries Mini sounds great. I've got a SBooster PSU and I'm using an external dac. Given the big changes in SQ between updates I'm asking myself if some form of EQ is used. I have experienced that its very easy to apply EQ using ffmpeg while transcoding on a NAS. This probably could be done within a streamer too. What's known on this point? Link to comment
jaaptina
I'm using AudioTool on Android with Dayton Audio iMM-6 microphone. It's a cheap set up. AudioTool can sent a sweep signal and measure the input from the mic at the same time. In my case I have a bass problem at about 57Hz and it shows. Doak 1 Link to comment
jaaptina
If you want to set parametric EQ settings yourself the spreadsheet in the link below is handy to visualise the F, Q and gain settings. http://www.musicdsp.org/files/rbj_eq.xls Link to comment
jaaptina
In my room the walls are only 3,25m (about 10 feet) apart in listening direction ?? Link to comment
