Even if it takes long time for first scan, then update scans at later time finish pretty quickly as there is no need to look into content that is already known. It is only quick with struture only setting! Link to comment
MemoryPlayer
1 hour ago, Miska said: You can make this even faster by point the scan in or near the directory where the new content is. For example I have separate folders for CD rips, HD-Tracks, HRA, NativeDSD, etc. When I add content to for example NativeDSD folder, I only scan that one. I do this way for Flac, DSD, DXD, ECM and ISO2DSF. Link to comment
MemoryPlayer
@ted_b Sounds as the first 32Bits Double DXD 705.6k commercial release? https://trptk.com/shop/downloads/frerichs-piano-concertos-nos-1-2/ Link to comment
MemoryPlayer
@Miska Why HQPlayer changes the order of the tracks sometimes? Look the same album below: a) when I drag and drop the selected tracks inside the folder; b) when I drag and drop the folder (the tracks are mixed); c) when I browse the album; d) when I search the album with HQPD Control, and; e) when I the album is played through HQPD Control. The order of the tracks is missed only when I drag and drop the folder! Link to comment

Tracks being dragged are fine, only folders being dragged changes the order! Link to comment

Dragging a folder is different from selecting all the tracks in the folder and dragging them? Yes, that is the point! See the folder and tracks orders of these two attached images! Link to comment
MemoryPlayer
22 minutes ago, Miska said: Answer is likely here, if the file names are like this, it is correctly sorted. They all begin with "1" and then the ones that begin with "2" follow and so on. If you want correct sorting for tracks in a folder with 10 or more tracks, the file names where number is single digit needs to be prefixed with "0". With single digits, sorting results in: 1 10 11 12 ... 18 19 2 20 21 ... 28 29 3 30 While with double digits it results in: 01 02 .. 08 09 10 11 12 ... 18 19 20 21 .. 29 30 31 Alphabetic string sorting sorts items first based on first character, then based on the second, then on third and so on. Why when I browse the same album direct and click play the order is OK? See the attached image... BTW, the track order are in the metadata! Link to comment

When I use this way, browsing by the server or with HQPD Control, the order and metadata of the same album are OK! Link to comment
