Caps V3 with LGX MC500 case. Use fan or not?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have recently got my music server, very similar to the CAPS V3, working. The LGX MC500 case comes with a small fan and I am not sure whether to use it or not.

The avg temperatures her on Aruba are pretty high, 90 Fahrenheit, and without the fan the cooling plate of the cpu feels uncomfortably hot to touch.

Does the cpu (DN2800MT) need the cooler under these conditions?

Are there besides fan noise any other disadvantages to consider?

Thank you for the advise

Jock
