digipix
1- Do all hard drive need to be the same size? can I mix 1TB and 1.5TB etc? 2- I am planning to start with two 1.5 TB and add more as I need it. Would that work or do I need to load up all slots from the get go? Sorry if the questions are too basic but I was not able to find the answer searching. Thanks. Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
Not all hard drives need to be the same size, but you'll get the most out of the system if they are. The Drobo from Data Robotics is able to maximize the use of all different sized drives very well. With any of these solutions you can start with as few disks as you want and add more later.
