A $300 dollar cable for a $300 headphone? I agree the thin short cable on the P5 needs an upgrade but at that point I might consider another headphone unless portability is the primary need.

These headphones aren't good enough to warrant another $300. I don't hate mine, but they don't knock my sox off.

Hi Chris. I own one of these. The cable is durable and much better than the stock P5 cord. My impression is that it improved the headphone's bottom end and imaging. However, the P5's ear pads attach by small magnets, and the cable plugs into the P5 from inside left ear pad. Sometimes when the P5 is not being worn, the weight of the cable pulls the ear pad away from the headphone, causing it to fall off. It's a bit of a pain, because its easy to lose the ear pad.

 

Best of luck with it. The gentleman running Stephan Audio was very nice and easy to deal with.
