Windows 8 Audio Optimization Script

Recommended Posts

Great script. Thanks so much for working on this and making it free.

Does anyone know which service disables the infrared receiver?

Hi Pete,

Yes, I think it is this line:

sc config HidIr start= disabled

Best Regards,

Scott

I use the next method:

If you are using a 64 bit OS you have to download NtSuspendProcess64.exe and then copy that to your C:/ root directory. If you run the script I gave above it will do everything else. Take a look at the script: The command cd / moves you to the root directory of the C:/ drive. The next line of the script NtSuspendProcess64.exe -name winlogon.exe then suspends winlogon. So the only thing you need to do is copy NtSuspendProcess64.exe to C:/ and then run the script. You do not have to double click the program – it just needs to be placed in the C:/ directory.

It sounds different, that is 100% sure. Better? Well I hear a cleaner sound with more space between instruments. I will continue use the script and listen to more recordings. It seems very promising! I use a Meitner ma-1 dac with Asus i5 laptop with SSD and 8GB memory.
