christopher3393
i just compelled a major ripping project (~2000 CDs), using four different CD drives. This one worked like a champ: Amazon.com: Asus 24xDVD-RW Serial ATA Internal OEM Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black): Electronics It had the highest rip speeds and the fewest rips aborted due to errors. Don't know how many CDs you have to rip, but I've found that for problem discs (maybe 2 percent of the ones I ripped), its helpful to have use multiple drives from different manufacturers. Often times a CD will cause an error on one drive but rip fine on another. +1 Recently purchased Plextor PX-891SA but haven't installed it yet. It was recommended to me for ripping. The Asus drive is less expensive. Link to comment
