Looking for a good cd drive to rip files

i just compelled a major ripping project (~2000 CDs), using four different CD drives. This one worked like a champ:

It had the highest rip speeds and the fewest rips aborted due to errors.

 

Don't know how many CDs you have to rip, but I've found that for problem discs (maybe 2 percent of the ones I ripped), its helpful to have use multiple drives from different manufacturers. Often times a CD will cause an error on one drive but rip fine on another.

 

+1 Recently purchased Plextor PX-891SA but haven't installed it yet. It was recommended to me for ripping. The Asus drive is less expensive.
