la1209
DoP file creation is not in the official version. Get the DoP file creation version (modded from version 0.61) here: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4jZ4NDGECzEbnNQOXVQRHJpQlU Source code included. This modded version should have all the functions in the original version, but I haven't try all options! To be save, you can install another copy of foobar2000 in a separate folder with this DoP plugin. And only use that for DoP file creation. In SACD plugin config, make sure "DSD over PCM" (default) is selected. Then do a "convert" to lossless PCM file (WAV/AIFF/FLAC/ALAC etc). It will always create a 176.4/24 PCM file with DSD embedded in DoP style. Play this DoP file through a UPnP server to LUMIN, and LUMIN will extract the original DSD for native DSD playback. In theory, I think this DoP file should also work on those USB/FW/SPDIF DAC with DoP support. And the user can play this DoP file using a softplayer without native DoP via USB support... Hi psme, I'm new in using Lumin Music Player, as I had a lot of SACD-ISO files, and I follow the steps you quoted to install the DoP plug-in in foobar2000 but fail. Even I can't install the modded 0.61 SACD plug-in. How can I do that? Thanks! Kenneth Link to comment
la1209
There is nothing special about installing the modded DoP plugin. Simply install it like any normal foobar2000 plugin. And make sure you don't have the original SACD plugin already installed. If you still have problem, try to install the original SACD plugin to make sure your foobar2000 setup is ok, then uninstall the original SACD plugin, and install the modded plugin instead. Yes, I had installed the original SACD plugin, is OK. But after I removed the plugin and tried to install the modded one, it fail. Link to comment
la1209
Thanks ThierryNK, I installed the original SACD Plug-in first, and then I copy the modded .dll file to the foobar components dir, now I can use DoP. Thanks all. Link to comment
la1209
I finally change the SACD-ISO to the AIFF in DoP format, and play in native DSD on Lumin, but I found some noise in the right channel, left channel is normal. Anybody have this problem? Link to comment
la1209
Thanks again, I will try to do it with flac tonight. Link to comment
la1209
Dear all, I've built a Audioplile Linear power supply and handmade a DC cable with 6N OCC copper wire for lumin, the result is great! This is the version one I made, super low noise, plug & play with better performance than the stock one! The performance result is better than ever, high becomes more open, a more sweet midrange, and the bass becomes more solid. The background is much much more darker and more clean than before! This power supply squeeze out the performance of the Lumin! I will build another one later call version II by using a better ultra low noise regulators and a smaller size case for a better performance and outlook. The size of the aluminium case used in this project is around W190mm H70mm D310mm The same DC output socket used in Lumin's stock power supply 100VA Hi-Fi grade O-Type transformer and super low noise regulators Another look of the power supply The new power supply with Lumin Handmade 6N OCC copper DC cable for Lumin The set of power supply and the DC cable Thanks for looking! la1209
Excellent! That´s one of the thing I look for to make the Lumin really shine. Maybe two Rcore transformers, mkp and pio decoupling capacitors... Looking inside some of the most musical gears tells what are the best ideas for the best power supplies, I love the Lumin and the outside power supply is an opportunity for diyers, and for Lumin itself...maybe... :-) Hi Nicoben45, Thanks for your reply, yet, the R-core is not good as my custom bulit O-Type transformer, I test it before, O-Type is the best one, much more musical and details, trust me! la1209
@LA1209Do you plan to have them built on a larger scale than DIY and sell them? Best and kind regards Hi ThierryNK, I've sourced 10 sets of parts, and planning to build an upgrade version II belong with handmade 1M long 6N OCC copper DC cable and a custom made smaller size full aluminium chassis, anyone have interest can PM me for details. Thanks for interested. Regards, Kenneth Lau Link to comment

la1209
Dear All, After almost three weeks of hard work, the final ultimate version LPS for Lumin is out!! Handcrafted by myself in Hong Kong, and finally bring Lumin to another world! Attached some pictures for your reference! Link to comment
la1209
Nice looking power supply Kenneth. Can you make those in 110~120v also ? Hi RichardA1, Sure! 110~120VAC input is OK. Regards, Kenneth Link to comment
la1209
Thanks Philippe, actually, the LPS need some more time to run-in, normally 80 to 100 hours, after that the overall performance will be better. Enjoy the magic! Best regards, Kenneth Lau Link to comment
la1209
Great! And how much does it cost? Dear Mihaylov, Check PM please, thanks! Regards, Kenneth Lau Link to comment
la1209
I agree that "Kenneth's PSU" is quite a fair investment to improve the Lumin. On my system, there is a better definition for up frequencies and better "quietness" all over the spectrum. And Kenneth is a nice guy answering questions and solving the small issue about stronger fuses that were needed in France. Good job! Thanks Thierry! Link to comment
la1209
The latest and the final PSU for Lumin is launched! Shielded O-type transformers with Epoxy filled, W320 H70 D300 handsome chassis, a ground post added too! From now, you can choose 7N OFC copper O-type transformer or the best of the best OCC silver-plated copper transformer! See the attached pictures for reference Link to comment

la1209
This power supply brings substantially improved musicality , it became more authoritative, the bass is better controlled, complex music becomes both easier to understand and listen to, the whole picture was more precise, with better focus and more control. In my opinion, this PSU makes easy for a Lumin owner to get a significant upgrade step for a relatively reasonable amount of money. Thank you Kenneth, job well done ! Dear Philippe, Thanks for your comment. Enjoy! Best regards, Kenneth Lau Link to comment
