AudioDoctor
well, a base mac mini with 8gb of ram is enough there. Second, have you actually heard these DACs? Do you have an amp? No electron left behind. Link to comment
ipeverywhere
Do you want space or reliability? Space: Fusion Drive Reliability: 256 SSD Mirrored(RAID 1 configuration) I would not run the 2x256 SSD concatenated (RAID 0) simply because the cost/performance for 512GB of space does not seem worth it to me. The Fusion Drive has been tested to be fairly quick (almost as fast as pure SSD) when what you are doing fits within the SSD portion. Since there is a finite amount of software you are planning on loading I believe your set-up falls into the "it will fit" category. I would max out the RAM (16GB). Have not heard the DacMagic but I enjoy my Gungnir. Link to comment
