Spirit
I ripped a few CDs using Exact Audio Copy to .wav format, but the program would not recognize my CDs. It just says "Unknown artist". Tracks were not recognized either. How do I get the program to recognize the tracks (is this called "tagging")? Link to comment
ted_b
If you are connected to the Internet while ripping, then just make sure freeedb (a free internet tag library) is set up and EAC will go out to it and tag your cd as it reads it's cd identification codes. BobH
It's worth mentioning that you must provide a valid e-mail address before EAC will access FreeDB. If you didn't do it when you installed the program then you can get to it from EAC / freedb_database options on the main menu. Link to comment
Mike in MD
Hi, I just had the same problem. The freedb database was properly selected in the main menu, but the information from freedb was not automatically downloaded. Go to the "Database" menu and select "Get CD information from" The select "remote freedb" (Alt-G) This solved my problems. Mike Link to comment
