Seriously, I can see from just the photos why you 'feel like it has been two weeks' already. I won't ask you what you think sounds the best so far, but what has been the most impressive thing you have seen with reference to a music server? What great idea 'fleshed-out' in hardware have you seen that you hadn't really thought of before actually seeing it done there?<br />

So far I'm most impressed with this unit from resolution audio. It allows people to use iTunes and the storage of their choice, allowing for unlimited expansion etc... Also, these guys were using the iPod Touch so they actually "get it." Many other companies are still tinkering with internal storage and building their own interface etc... These guys have done what i think is the smartest thing. Leave computers up to Apple and others, and concentrate on high end sound.<br />

Despite my regular use of a Squeezebox, I'm still a little confused on the alternatives. What does this device do that a Squeezebox doesn't do?

I think this device goes well beyond the Squeezebox. Similar to how a dcs transport / DAC goes well beyond a $59 Pioneer CD player. This is true high end equipment and there is no primitive Squeezebox application to use!
