Attention CA Readers In Southern California

The Los Angeles and Orange Country Audio Society, The Source A/V, and Audio Plus Services (Focal, Naim) are putting on a large dealer event this month. I'll be in attendance as the "digital seminar guest" and would love to see the SoCal contingent of CA at the event! Everything starts at 12 Noon on Sunday, July 25, 2015 and runs until 6:00PM. The event will be a great opportunity to hear the new Naim Statement system with a pair of focal Grande Utopia loudspeakers as well as a range of other Naim / Focal systems. I'll probably be speaking about how much I love vinyl playback … oh wait, that happened last time I was in Southern California. Only kidding, I'll be giving a seminar on digital audio and fielding questions from anyone willing to ask. I hope to see you all there![PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]

    Chris,

As you are clueless, bitter and uninformed, and apparently like it that way, going to this event makes very little sense. You might become informed, get a clue, and start feeling less bitter. It would ruin your rep.

Considering how important your rep is, I am nominating myself as a stand in for you. That way listening to those Focal Grand Utopias will not have a negative impact on your cred among Computer Audiophiles. I'll take questions from the audience and attempt to be clueless and bitter. Plenty here on CA will testify to my lack of informedness. Nevertheless, listening to the Focal based system, should it result in some clue to me, and should I feel the music enough not to be bitter will have no impact on you as you will have plausible deniability.

All I need is for you to PM me, and I will provide information about where you need to set up my plane tickets and other accommodations. I'll take the bullet for you Chris. I am just that kind of guy. Let me know, don't be shy, I am willing to help. Really consider it Chris. If you are eligible for the prizes you do realize you might win your choice of 20 LP's. That just wouldn't do whatsoever.

Sorry Dennis but I would suggest Eloise who has a bit of a reputation around here as a being something of a Naim dropper.

Better be careful Chris, the high priest of vinyl might come.

Seriously, have fun and let us know what amps rated in horsepower sound like. I hope they put the local power utility on notice.

Take that back... I've never dropped a Naim... Well maybe the remote control!

    Hi Chris

Great to meet you yesterday. Thanks for your presentation yesterday. Joyce and I enjoyed it a lot.

I noticed the VH collection in your setup and meant to ask you: would you say the hi-res versions are worth it?

    Thanks

It was great meeting you as well. I had a terrific time at the event. The high res VH collection is definitely worth it.
