Manu Katche - Neighbourhood...ECM out of phase

Hello All, Just wondering if anyone has this album...Jan Garbarek, Manu Katche...etc....good, not great, album...driven by the great drummer as a lead so that's the musical theme but when I listen to this album, at the least the first cut, it sounds to be recorded out of the phase...the bass line only comes alive if I invert polarity... Please note, this is ECM, the specialty label of some of the greats. Could this be so? WDW
