paulr
Hi all, I'm the proud owner of a new Audio GD NFB-2 and have a question. The DAC has some settings which are made by varying combinations of internal jumper settings. The choices are: "2X oversampling , Minimum phase 'soft-knee' filter. Up to 192KHz support" or "2X oversampling , Linear phase 'soft-knee' filter. Up to 192KHz support." or "2X oversampling , Linear phase 'brickwall' filter. Up to 192KHz support." or the same three as above but "up to 96KHz support". Can anyone explain the differences between 'minimum' and 'linear' phase please. And also can anyone explain the differences between 'soft-knee' and 'brickwall' filter please. Is there a likely 'default' best setting? The link to the relevant page on the Audio GD site is http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/dac/NFB-2/NFB2EN.htm Many thanks in advance Paul Link to comment
