The engineer really got this cut right and in dsf you can hear the difference every time you tweak the system, and then there's the sheer joy of Elvis in your listening room.. Yeap, Fever is one of the best sounding tracks I have - the DSD transcript is fantastic. If this was remastered in DSD, I'll get the SACD, but if the remastering was done in 24/96 PCM, I'd rather get the download. Any ideas? Acoustic Sounds' website is rather unclear about this. I have both the SACD and the 24/96 (exactly these ones). The SACD is the one to get - by far - this is the new remaster by Ryan Smith at Sterling, very likely from the master tapes - and it will blow your mind. The 24/96 version has a different provenance and it sounds completely different. It's not available as a download - at least not yet, I imagine it will be soon. I can rip my SACDs with a PS3 so I don't need to wait...
