McIntosh C50 solid state preamp with a DAC.

McIntosh makes high-end audio gear. Well know for their amps and preamps. Until recently, they have never mixed digital and analog in their preamps. I spent A LOT of time thinking and asking questions before the purchase. My concern was how the DAC performs. Now that I have the C50, I have to say it's a GREAT preamp with a GREAT DAC. I could not hear any difference between it's USB input and the Musical Fidelity V-Link. The USB has transport controls with iTunes. Right now, the USB can handle 16/48, but McIntosh will update the driver to support 24/192 in the near future. I can't be more happy with the purchase.
