Might I suggest, a cocktail for the season, A Lion's Mane

 

It uses bourbon, lime juice, simple syrup, and Allspice dram (a liquor made with toasted whole allspice and Navy proof rum).

2 oz Bourbon

0.75 oz lime juice

0.5 oz Allspice Dram

0.25 oz simple syrup

a dash of Angostura Bitters

Mix and shake with ice for 10 seconds

Stain and serve in martini glass
