opinion on manufacture of VH Audio modulation cable

cpasmoi

Question

hello

I am thinking about the manufacture in D.I.Y of RCA Modulation cable with VH audio cable, I am a French audiophile and I have few feedbacks or opinions on comparisons of VH audio modulation cables, we mainly have Neotech , Gotham, the best known in D.I.Y

I hesitate between 2 cables and I would have had your opinion as a point of comparison which on this forum should not be missing

here are the 2 references that I retained

UniCrystal™ OCC SILVER Wire w/ Cotton Insulation, and HyperFlex™ Tubing

VH Audio Pulsar, Pulsar Cu II and Pulsar Ag

it will be connected between a

Denafrips Pontus 2 DAC and a Sugden A21 Signature Class A Amplifier

thank you for your comeback

have you ever compared silver and copper (I mean a proper comparison of a straight wire of high purity and same insulator same connectors so you are not also comparing cable geometry, length and whatnot) ?

You may not like silver, it's fast and dynamic, but adds a gray-ish 'color' spectrum on all overtones, instruments and voices in the upper mid/treble.

ISP, glass to Fritz!box 5530, another Fritz!box 5530 for audio only in bridged mode on LPS, cat8.1, Zyxel switch on LPS, Finisar <1475BTL>Solarflare X2522-25G, external wifi AP, AMD 9 16 core, passive cooling ,Aorus Master x570, LPSU with Taiko ATX, 8Gb Apacer RAM, femto SSD on LPS, Pink Faun I2S ultra OCXO on akiko LPS, home grown RJ45 I2S cable, Metrum Adagio DAC3, RCA 70-A and Miyaima Zero for mono, G2 PL519 tube amps.

yes I tested 2 similar cables

a Cryo OCCC copper treated in deep and a pure Silver cable with the same RCA Copper/Gold plugs and the OCCC Copper Cable distils the whole message without coloration,

the silver highlights the voices and the highs are high but without being strident

I hesitated a moment with the Mundorf, but I will remain either with the VH Audio or the Duelund
