Thames
Hi guys, new joiner here. Happy to find a new place. I have a Mac Mini 2018 installed in my office room. My living room (with audio setup) is kinda close, let's say there's about 15 ft between the mac mini itself and my DAC (iFi Zen Dac). Is there any way to listen to lossless/hi-res music remotely, with the ability to control remotely ? Or the only known option is to get a AppleTV (and nothing over 48khz). Thank you Thames Wavertonwood 1 Link to comment
GregWormald
If you have a phone, ipad or laptop on the same wifi as the mini then control should be no problem. I run a wire from mini to dac for the signal but I use Jellyfin to stream video to the TV via wifi. I did use Plex but while a bit more complex to configure Jellyfin just works better for me. I'm sure it would handle hi-res easily but of course you would need a wifi receiver for the DAC unless you can Bluetooth it. Link to comment
