Best way to get audio out of LG CX TV to DAC?

 I do this via Coax SPDIF into my DIY DAC, and it sounds  better than direct Toslink from the TV, or via HDMI from the STB then back via Toslink from the TV. I also obtained a small but worthwhile improvement in SQ by connecting the "earth"/ 0 volts side of the SMPS powered STB to Mains Earth via a 10 ohm resistor .A direct connection as suggested by John Swenson didn't sound quite as good due to what appears to be a minor earth loop.
