Popular Post yamamoto2002
My network switch constantly emits annoying coil whine noise from switching power supply. It is designed to use in on 19 inch server racks, not in listening rooms. Perhaps audiophile network switch does not emit such audible noise ? Here is a recording of my switch singing 😀 Netgear_working3_EEE65a.flac Here is a noise spectrum. Those noise is from the worst case switch configuration (Energy efficient mode enabled and only 3 port is used). With the best case (?) configuration, the switch emits constant 17kHz tone.
