bluesman
I'm thinning the herd to raise $ for high res multichannel. So I'm reluctantly selling a few items I still love but haven't used in a while, and my Wadia is one of them. The unit is beautifully made, small and very attractive with robust controls and connectors plus a gorgeous metal remote. It's a very good DAC (24/96 via USB, 24/192 through optical and coax) driving a conservatively rated (50WPC into 4 ohms / 25WPC into 8 ohms) class D power amp, and it delivers excellent SQ from a silent background. Reviews on release and after experience grew were all positive and are typified by these quotes: "There is a naturalness and coherence to the midrange of this DAC/amplifier that one doesn’t often hear." (from HiFiPlus) "The first and most noticeable aspect of the 151 is its bass performance. Bass is very tight, with excellent definition and control." "Imaging strikes me as another strength of the 151. Central images are precisely rendered and the lateral spread of orchestral instruments sounds quite natural." I have the original box & packing, and everything is in showroom shape - I was so anxious to hear it when it arrived that I never even removed the clear protective overlay from the display. Asking $450 plus shipping (US sales only, please).
