brazillm
Hi All, I'm new to the computer audiophile community and have a question about getting quality audio from my Sony Vaio laptop to one of the digital inputs on my Marantz SR7002 that I am using as a pre/pro? I am going to rip all my cd's to itunes as well as the occasional high res download from Reference Recordings, B&W, HD Tracks etc. I'm thinking some sort of usb to spdif converter would be appropriate here. I would like to keep it in the sub $200 USD range if at all possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Regards, [br]Marty B Link to comment
Audio_ELF
The obvious suggestion is the M2Tech HiFace. Eloise Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
Miska
I'm very positively surprised of price/performance ratio of ESI Audio DrDAC nano[1]. It has optical mini-plug output and also acts as a nice sounding ultraportable headphone dac/amp.
