USB DAC keeps disappearing from USBridge

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a USBridge and when it works it's great! Unfortunately sometimes the USB DAC will simply disappear from the USBridge. This usually happens when the USB DAC is turned off and back on - the USBridge just doesn't pick it back up. Usually hard rebooting the USBridge brings it back (soft rebooting through the dashboard never works, oddly enough), but right now nothing I'm trying will work - I've rebooted the DAC, rebooted the USBridge, rebooted Roon, nothing.

It's not showing in the command line either:

aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: atm7059link [atm7059_link], device 0: ATC2603C PCM atc2603c-dai-0 []
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: atm7059link [atm7059_link], device 1: HDMI PCM atm7059-hdmi-dai-1 []
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: atm7059link [atm7059_link], device 2: SPDIF PCM atm7059-spdif-dai-2 []
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I'm at a loss here and really frustrated that this keeps happening. Help!

Just straight Roon. I've shut down all other services on the USBridge.

After updating to the latest Dietpi build yesterday my USB Dac was detected by the Allo again (I hadn't realized there was a newer version available).

you edit  the file and do soft reboot

nano /DietPi/uEnv.txt   aotg.urb_fix=0

switching off DAC while playing music will block the port.

so disable the parameter by changing aotg.urb_fix value to  0.

Hi,

I have the same problem with the USBridge / Volumio combo. My DAC is a M2Tech Young DSD (Amanero USB interface). The DAC has an auto-off option so it shuts itself down after e.g. 4 hours. If USBridge / Volumio is playing music when that happens the connection to the DAC is lost, although the DAC remains listed as possible output. Sometimes a hard shut down / restart of USBridge / Volumio solves the problem and the USB connection works again but sometimes it does not. The only solution I have found in that case is a factory reset...

Any suggestions are welcome.
