This UnixMan's reply:

Very vague. Looking at the logs of UPnPBridge and HQPd it seems that there is some "misunderstanding" between the two: HQPd can not access the URI of the data stream that the plugin is sending, maybe it misinterprets it.

Since the same problem also occurred with the old setup, at the time I tried to contact both Miska and Philippe (the author of the plugin). The latter, however, had difficulty making the old setup work, and asked Miska to contact him directly ... but I think he did not, and it ended there. With the new setup it should no longer be difficult to replicate a working system, we could try again.

I asked UnixMan to contact you and Philippe.

OK, good, because it is likely not a big problem, a small glitch somewhere that should be fairly easy to fix...

To the initial guide UnixMan has added instructions for CUDA and further notes (#3).

The same system (LMS + UPnPBridge + HQPlayerd) can also be implemented on the basis of the OS "gentooplayer" developed by Filippo ("antonellocaroli") rather than on the basis of Ubuntu or Debian. For specific instructions refer to the dedicated topic (#183)

Regarding the "sudo gdebi install cuda" and the related comment, there's a "cuda-drivers" meta package for the driver. The full cuda meta package shouldn't be necessary - it pulls in lot of unnecessary stuff.

Basically just "nvidia-396" package should be enough which is the smallest driver entity from the repo.

Hello all.

In the end everything works and music plays.

I have two questions more, please.

The first: Logitechmediaserver , UPnPBridge, Hqplayerd in linux mint 21 start after log in .
It is possible to make them start on mint startup before the log screen?

it is a great convenience as when the PC is turned on you could listen music with great simplicity without sitting down at the computer.

This Would be perfect for Wife and "kids"

hqplayerd is easy to get started at boot time, assuming network setup is such that it actually comes up during boot, instead of just user session.

"sudo systemctl enable hqplayerd"

Then the service is started automatically at boot.

I usually run hqplayerd service under headless Ubuntu Server 22.04, so not sure if this will work with Ubuntu/Mint desktop variants. Because on desktop systems network settings are managed in a different way through GUI.

The networkaudiod seems to crash when being asked to stop playback. I would recommend to take a look at what happens at that end.

Hi. The problem is this lack of the player in the configuration page of hqplayerd in "device " -  "network  audio backend"  ( Red circles screenshoot). It would be helpful to figure out where to look for the reason for this, even though the system sounds perfectly

Ahh, you mean NAA doesn't appear on the list. Maybe it wasn't reachable when you booted up your Embedded instance. Did you try with the "Refresh devices" button?
