Yup. I've looked at those Focal studio monitors too. Though I'd go with a benchmark DAC over the RME.

I will say this-of the last 3 DACS I've owned/own, none of the USB inputs sounded better than than the spdif or aes3. With the exception of course of DSD through USB. Especially DSD128.
