Monge
+1 on the Supra Cat8 as ethernetcable. I prefer the Supra cat8 over AudioQuest Cinnamon, which I had on loan. Also I think, that the Supra cat8 is better sounding than the Supra Cat7+, which I also own. I use Supra Cat8 In ny network as Well. Regards Monge Link to comment

The Telegärtner MFP8 were the connector used on the AudioQuest Vodka Lan cable. If you are In the EU and you don’t want to make it by yourself you can buy it at futureshop.co.uk with the Telegärtner MFP8. I don’t know which connectors is the better ones though. Link to comment
Monge
The Cable Matters plugs look good. The Telegartners plugs are quite expensive In the EU. 9.99 Euro each. https://www.reichelt.de/RJ45-Stecker-buchsen/MFP8-T568B/3/index.html?ACTION=3&GROUPID=5854&ARTICLE=130200&OFFSET=16&SID=61VLkj8X8AAAIAAE1yYYE9016b41e35adaa6f34da9046a64233f3&LANGUAGE=EN Link to comment

I finally got the Supra CAT 8 (1 metre) and after inserting it into the POE's between Paul Hynes 5v and the ISO Regen it sounds better to me out of the box compared to the IBRA. Note that I have bridged the pins in the POE's to provide 2 pairs twinned for both V+ & V- (1-4 bridged and 5-8 bridged). No use of the outer screen so just the 4 pairs in use and sounds very good so far. Still waiting on the German cable to test German CAT8 Thanks for getting back on track ? Makes me wondering if the the passive POE injektor and splitter adapter get the cat 7 or cat 8 Cable shielding flowing In some way, when using POE with shielded cat 7 or cat 8? Not In your case of course. But with shielded cat7 pr cat8. Regards Monge Cornan 1 Link to comment
Monge
I tried the kwmobile POE set and 1 m uGreen cat7 round on my Netgear modem/router with a linear Sbooster 12v. And to my big surprise, it just sound wonderful, when I stream Tidal hi-fi. i also tried the Supra cat7+ and did’nt sound as Nice as the uGreen cat7 26awg round. I have more POE adapters and uGreen cat 7 26awg flat on the way. sligolad 1 Link to comment
Monge
Hi, I have now tried a kwmobile POE set and 1 m uGreen cat 7 flat 26 awg on a TP-Link TL SG108E switch with SBooster (BOTW P&P ECO) 9V. It gave me a another lift In SQ. So that made me wonder why it works so Well with the SBooster unit. So I tried the POE tweak In another setup after an IFI iPower and no magic happened atall. Hmm... So I tried a SBooster single unit after the iPower and then the POE set + 1 m ugreen cat 7 flat 26 awg. Then the magic start happening. My humble observation. Regards Monge Link to comment

Look here https://www.computeraudiophile.com/forums/topic/28056-linear-power-supply-for-brooklyn-which-one-youve-ever-tried/?page=2 Go Down a little. The SBooster is a kind of passiv filter for SMPS. I tried the iPower 9V SMPS to the Sbboster unit and then going to POE to a TP link switch In my second system. 1. I tried the iPower alone 2. then with POE 3. with iPower and the Sbooster single Unit 4. With iPower and the SBooster single unit and POE I clearly prefer the 4. config. Link to comment
Monge
I was reading the POE thread over at USaudiomart Yesterday and my bloodpressure went up and the reading about Cornan and Charlesphoto and others made me very sad. I sincerly hope tubelover2 will stop his personal attacks and concentrate on the Audio related things, that he is good at. Regards Monge Cornan 1 Link to comment
