By having such a screwed-up system that just touching or changing anything, changes the sound. Link to comment

Industrial audio Consultant Dick Pierce pointed that out two decades ago, about expensive hi-fi digital products that were sensitive to digital interconnect cables. Link to comment

Well the Copper Clad Steel (CCS) wire is easy. It's a poor choice for anything much below 100MHz. But then we get to the 'ground plane modulation' part, I too await an explanation. Link to comment

Yep, also the coax shield is optimized for those high TV frequencies, the CCS works well with 'F' connectors and it's cheap. The last reasons why the cable TV people use so much of it. FEP is Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (aka Teflon). while squarecore might be starquad after Google translate gets thru with it. Link to comment

Speedskater
When we have signals above the 50 to 100MHz range, then we can start a serious discussion about cable dielectrics. Ralf11 1 Link to comment

Why not start your own thread on that very topic elsewhere instead? The post I replied to was in reference to the use of FEP insulation in a cable! Just how is my replay off-topic? My M.O is about good engineering principles and practices. Just how does good engineering draw people into arguments? Link to comment
