Ralph072
Hi, What tool are you guys using to change the sample rate of FLAC's? I have some 24/192 FLAC's that I need to downsample to 24/96. I read about Audacity - as that good? Are there alternatives? Thanks guys! cheers, Ralph Link to comment
ted_b
if it is because the DAC won't handle above 24/96 then you have several options: * let the DAC do the downsampling * use something easy like DBPoweramp to downsample and create new 24/96 FLACs * let the chosen music player do the downsampling Most will agree that on-the-fly downsampling is not the best but let your ears dictate. Ralph072
yes, I'm using M-Audio Transit that can only handle up to 24/96. I'm looking for a tool, that can downsample the FLAC's. So I would keep a hi-res version for the future and have a "working copy" for now. I didn't know that DBPowerampt can do that since I'm using EAC for ripping. Are there other options? Like a freeware tool or so? Link to comment
ted_b
and allows easy batch processing of FLAC files. It's full price is all of $24. I used it for some of my ripped 24/192 DVD_A files when all I had was a Logitech transporter that would accept only 24/96 max. i now use it constantly for FLAC to WAV and MP3 conversions (MP3 simply for metatdata) as I move things to the Mac, etc. "We're all bozos on this bus"....F.T.
