hifitubes
I find it strange that you found a true regenerator to have a negative impact. Maybe for an amp, but some amps will full tube regulation can also benefit greatly from a regenerator. I would think when using a modded or solid PSU (like Winmate from Electrodacus or PicoPsu) that rock steady power would be only an added benefit. Did you have your amp running on the regenerator? Is it a high-powered one? hifi DIGITAL: Windows 7 x64 JRMC19 >Adnaco S3B fiber over USB (battery power)> Auralic Vega > Tortuga LDR custom LPSU > Zu Union Cubes + Deep Hemp Sub ANALOG: PTP Audio Solid 9 > Audiomods Series V > Audio Technica Art-7 MC > Allnic H1201 > Tortuga LDR > Zu Union Cubes + Deep Hemp Sub ACCESSORIES: PlatterSpeed, BlackCat cables, Antipodes Cables, Huffman Cables, Feickert Protracter, OMA Graphite mat, JRemote Link to comment
Suteetat
I only ran my computer through UPS when I tried it. My amps are connected directly to my dedicated 20amps line. All the sources are connected to a passive line conditioner. I tried running PSU from a separate line as well as through passive line conditioner. For now, I get much better sound with my computer plugging into passive line conditioner directly. It will be another month or so before my local PS Audio dealer will have a Powerpack 1500 in. I definitely will try and see if it will be better than standard computer UPS. For now, I hope there won't be major electrical calamity to ruin my computer Link to comment
