SSD Drive on Sale at NewEgg

I know many here like to use SSD drive in their music server system so I'm posting what I thought is a good deal:

This is a good deal. Note that it is the "lower class" version of SSD. It is MLC, not SLC. Chris has said that he can hear a difference. I have an OCZ SLC disk and like it. I have never compared it to an MLC version. Probably, I would not be able to hear a difference.

Chris has compared the two drives directly and heard a difference? Can Chris elaborate as to what the differences were as that is a decent deal for sure.

Would either of these suffice just to load an OS on to a "CAPS" machine?

 

No music would be on the machine - all music on NAS drives

 

PC not to be used for anything else

I am thinking of going with a 30 as my Mac is only showing about 17 being used with pretty much what I want/need to have on it to do what I want/need it to do... Snow Leopard, iTunes, Amarra, InsomniaX, MAX, Pure Music, and XLD.

And presumably, in the PC world, a drive like this would be more than enough to load any version of Windows + a couple of music players...??

my music server has two 60 Gig OCZ SLC drives. It is a PC machine. There is plenty of space for OS, players and music, too. If you don't want to put the music on the server, then a 30 Gig drive could hold the OS and the players.
