Seanaudio
I'm an iTunes Match user and just subscribed to Music. If I "Add to My Music" a song or album that I already have, creating duplicated songs, what is the best way to figure out which songs are the MATCHED songs versus the new "MUSIC" songs? The "Match" songs are in the cloud, and not on my device, otherwise I could just look at which ones have the cloud/download icon next to them and remove those. I'm checking the "get info" area and if my device shows "0" plays for both files, I can't see a way to quickly know which is which. Apologies if this has already been answered, but I haven't seen anything on this issue as of yet. Link to comment
kirkmc
It's quite confusing. My guess is those tracks don't go in iTunes Match, and hence meet the DRM issue when you re-download them. But iTunes Match isn't working for me, so I can't test it right now. I write about Macs, music, and more at Kirkville. Author of Take Control of macOS Media Apps. Co-host of The Next Track podcast. Kevin1498576214
In iTunes on the Mac, you can create a smart playlist with: iCloud Status is Apple Music. That will show you all the songs you added to your library from Apple Music. Is that what you want? -Kevin Link to comment
Seanaudio
Yes...I failed to look under the "File" category in the "Get Info". Looking there I see "iCloud Status" (Apple Music/Purchased/iCloud), which tells you what's what. Hopefully Apple will make it more obvious as to what kind of files we're viewing. Making the smart playlist is very helpful. Thank you. Link to comment
