Hi ctsooner Can you clarify is there Single Diamond-Output stage installed in QX-5? For the new QX-8 is stated Double Diamond-Output stage!

On the site they mentioned in Lit for QX-5 :Diamond Output stage. For the QX-8 is clearly written Double Diamond-Output stage. For the Integrated AX-5 as well Double Diamond-Output stage.Personally upgraded my AX-5 to Twenty and sonic difference has been obvious. You know well what in upgrade process has been included.

I was very close to place order for the new QX-5 (to replace  Codex) until I read specs for QX-8 and Double Diamond-Output stage. Benefits for SQ after upgrading AX-5 to AX-5 Twenty are significant.

Completely agree. Thought that would be able to source an answer at least from some owner of QX-5.The question is as simply as it is.There is Double Diamond output stage or there is not?! Already sent a mail to Ayre for clarification.

Re RFI/EMI noise from computer. Many words have been told and each time we come back to that same point and root cause of sound degradation. 

I kept Ayre L-5xe in my system. 

One outlet is deficared to Mac Mini only

How it helps?

I don’t have Melco in the chain.

Probably there are no so many demands for that but...but enabling AES/EBU DUAL MODE on QX-5 would be much appreciated from some users like me. Of course it would require an upgrade. Any thought about it?

Thanks for taking it in consideration. 

It will bring QX-5 DIGITAL HUB on even higher level, considering improvement of SQ and overall connectivity with Ultra Hi-End DD Convertors/Players.

Thanks for Your honest reply. It makes sense. Let us all see which features and queries a future will bring. If it appears one day I'm sure mine will be the first in the line for the upgrade.

Installed the latest update on my QX-5/20. As the end user I CONFIRM sonic improvement while using network audio playback.
